    Dear all,

Over the past couple of months we've noted a steady increase in the amount of owners moving on from Volkswagen ownership and making the change over to Audi. With this in mind we thought it would be a great idea to capture the same atmosphere, look and feel that uk-mkivs has become known for, and this time offer it to Audi owners.

So, without further ado, we present to you:

Now, before you go running off to register - here's the clever bit Big Smile You can login with your uk-mkivs username and password, and your profile data will be copied over and created for you. As you'll be posting on a new site your post count will of course be set to zero, but things like your signature and location will be present.

We would like to ask that you spread the word about the site amongst your friends etc to help get the site going. We've also setup a uk-audis Facebook fan page to help promote things.

We'll also be looking for Audi based moderators and helpers for the site so if you're an audi owner and would like to help take part in running what could very well be a succesful site, please let us know.

We hope to see you online soon Smile

    Thanks!

Is this the new sister site we heard about earlier this week?

Good stuff, if I ever change my car it be an Audi! And a top idea in keeping the same atmosphere and members too! Top work chaps Yes

We'll also be giving this site a lick of paint in a few weeks as we're impressed by the look of uk-audis Big Smile

I'll be lurking there even though I'll be staying as a VW owner until I can justify "upgrading" to an Audi Smile

If you find yourself short of moderators Tabs I am happy to volunteer even though I'm Audi-less at the moment.

The new site certainly looks very smart and appears to perform better on my PC than this site does! (Are the sites hosted on different servers / at different locations?)

The site is located on the same server, it probably just feels quicker as the doesn't have much traffic at the moment.

It's interesting you've gone down the uk-audi route to encapsulate the entire Audi range as opposed to specific models as we have with mkiv and mkv.

I had a quick look last night and it does look pretty slick.  Well done.

Might we see the VW forum here widen to include other models in the range? (starting with a certain car that appears to be grabbing the headlines at the moment!)

Having worked with a single model setup for a while it was quite interesting to structure something that would encapsulate the majority of Audi models. While we couldn't really work to that level here there will be a few changes to the forums to incorperate a few of the ideas put into place over at uk-audis.

If you're referring to the Scricco then we've already added a new forum for it under the MK5 category Yes

There's already a ukpassats forum, unless I'm missing something? (Not run by us though)

Iroc forum already noted - we almost need a sub-forum to discuss the range of paint colours judging by the level of discussion at the moment!
