    Hi

Has anyone had a coilover kit on a MkiV and replaced it with a Koni Sports Kit?

I attempted to do this yesterday. I thought I had all the parts I required, I was also replacing the wishbones (again) and repairing the drive shaft gaiter!!! Unfortunately, I hadn't realized I was missing the upper spring seats for the front struts :(

I've had to leave my car in bits until I can buy the parts. Looks like I'm without a car for the week !!!

If anyone has done this swap, can you tell me if there're are any other surprises I haven't realized yet??

    Thanks...

had the same problem the sping seats were missing took 4 weeks to get them.. All I can say Koni UK are a big joke.  Think the authorised dealers are Parts direct or something like that they are bleeding time wasters and wont deal with the public direct.  Who did you buy the kit off?  Maybe they might have better luck as a distributor...

Yeah, can't really argue about Koni UK.

I bought the Kit from awsome-gti, and I must say I phoned them yesterday when I had another some issue and they were quite helpful. Unfortunately it was too late in the day when I realized I was short the spring seats to ring them back! I will phone them tomorrow.

Why did it take so long to source the parts, 4weeks is ridiculous?

Will the Standard OEM parts not fit the Koni Kit?

yes the std VW plates will fit, it is not a special koni part as you would normally just take it off your original suspension.

by the way I've got some spare spring plates for sale, PM me if interested

I fitted the Koni coilovers and it took them two weeks to send the adjusters by mistake rather than the Spring seats then another 2 weeks to send the spring seats...
