Hi, After using my 4motion today i noticed something strange that wasnt happening when i last used it (last week) When engine is warm and i come to a junction or stop i noticed it idles at about 1100rpm instead of 7-800 rpm If i rev up it still stays at a faster idle than usual ie 1100rpm however if i simply switch engine off and restart it idles normally at 7-800 rpm, as soon as i set off again and come to next stop or junction it idles high again will only settle to normal idle when i switch off and restart and so on!! the service now lights are on when i start and i will get it booked in but in the meantime i just wondered if anyone had experienced this problem? The car still drives as smooth as it always had at any rev range Any help much appreciated scott

Sounds like a vacuum leak type issue, check all of the pipes coming from the inlet manifold for splits/leaks, especially at the back, there is a 'stretchy' type one that goes to the charcoal filter IIRC, that was split on mine once & gave me the same symptoms as you.
