Personally i think it looks great and the cabin is miles better than anything else from vauxhall at the moment- is it just me? I prefer the looks of the saloon tho..

the inside does look nice i agree, from the outside it looks like it should be wearing a mazda badge.

But then mazda do make some good looking cars IMO so that may not be a bad thing!

By all accounts this will be a huge jump in quality for Vauxhall. The Vectra is mundane and been dragged out for years too long now IMO, and they desperately need something fresh for this sector (especially given that the new Mundano is so so mundane)

I look forward to when these start coming through so I can have a look at one in the flash. The interiors are meant to be an even bigger jump in style and quality than the mk5 Astra was over the mk4.

Will it get reps who have flocked to German cars like Passats, A4s and 3 series BMs out of these cars? Will it appeal to people in Jap cars like Accords and Mazda 6s? Not convinced, but we'll see.

Where does the black in Guinness go when you wee wee? I mean, how can something blacker than a black night with the consistency of used engine oil come out crystal clear within 20 minutes after 10 pints?

It looks good, and hopefully the new name will dissasociate the car from the very average Cavaliers and Vectras of old.

As per Bazking69, I have a feeling that the days of company car driving reps aspiring to Vauxhalls (and Fords) are long since gone in the UK. When the current Mondeo was launched the motoring press were telling us that it was a better car than a BMW 3 series (I'm not convinced), however, better or not, Ford, Vauxhall and the rest of the non German/Japanese mainstream manufacturers are not going to persuade badge obsessed Brits into 'lesser badged' cars.

I think history will continue to repeat itself and there will be plenty of 12 month old Insignia's and Mondeo's for half their new retail price at every car supermarket in the land.

I think we can be quite sure that the prices and resale values will be the same as vauxhalls of old.....the badge really does drag it down..

(now just waiting for VXR versions..LOL...hope they will handle better)
