     just had car tested and its failed on one thing, just a rather big thing, there is play on the innerside of the rack not the outer (track rod end end) and he reckons you have to replace the full rack, iv just been searching previous posts and people are saying you can get steering rack bushes from powerflex, but is this what i need? please help as i dont want to shell out 550 for a new rack, cheers in advance

     Are you sure he doesnt mean the inner joint on the track arm!? These would be prone to wear, but all you need to replace is the track control arm!!

    Mods : .:R32 front bumper, 18" RS4's, 130 turbo, chipped NI remap, anni headlights, debadged rear, sharan badge mod, german plates, black grille - with more to come

    VW technician - complete with mobile diagnostics, all VAG work carried out.
