     hi,ive owned a 1.6s 2001 for a couple of weeks now.i want to give it a full service and cambelt kit change.

    ive been quoted £270 from a good friend of mine,thats labour and parts.he will also stamp the service book

    do you think its a good price?

    Welcome mate, sounds pretty good price to me, I would bite his arm off at that price as long as his work is good.

    howdy. i'm not far from you just over in harrow :)

    is that a private deal, or open to others do you think? I'm planning to get my cambelt done in the next few weeks so would be very interested. My bruv also needs his B5 Passat 130PD done, so lemme know if possible!

     thanks everyone for all the replies.the work has been done and all is sound.as for other people having there vehicles done,im sure he would do the work and his prices are cheap enough.am i allowed to put his pnone number on here or can you private message me.also i know people at a real VW garage that will carry out works on a saturday.
