i know this has been covered in the past, but they havent answered my question which is

does a golf not fitted with fog lights as standard have the standard plug in its loom , ive bought the fogs,light switch and wiring, but its has a plug on the end to fit to the cars loom- i havent taken my bumper off yet,

 You wont need to take the bumper off to get at the fogs, just take the grills out and you should see the mounts for the fogs, obviously if there are no mounts there then you will need to upgrade to the sport bumper i.e 140.

as to the looms i dont think it will be difficult to hook up if you car does not have plugs.
