Aha – I’ve found them!

Only having seen these on Cars before – and obviously not knowing their names – its been hard to find them – but these I believe to be my ‘dream’ wheels for the Golf.

So are they called “Audi RS6’s”? Is that what I should be looking for?

The seller hasn’t listed much info – but would these be 5*100? Would they go straight on to my MkIV?

Does anyone know where I can get these cheap – either with or without tyres? Either genuine or copies?

Does anyone here currently run with these? Any pictures to possibly intice more money out my wallet? Ha-ha!

Ideally 18’s (do the RS6’s come in other size?), with the Coilovers on dropped about 40mm – would that be about right to give a nice low ‘full-arch’ look?

Recommendations? Advice? Possible locations of people selling these beasts at a knock down price

Yeah those are the Audi RS-6 style.

He says they come off his 02 plate A3, now the A3's up until (I think) '03 had the same fitment as the MKIV, so 5x100 - but I cant be sure...

Loads of people run with these wheels on here, they look good in either 18" or 19" - there are pleanty of sellers on ebay selling replicas. Also all the main alloy wheel dealers online stock reps of these - Google is your friend here

They do suit the MKIV well, and with a set of coilovers wound down with possibly some spacers they do fill the arches nicely - you'll be going down more than 40mm though, probably more like 55mm...

 I think the Eibachs go to 100mm - so should be safe

Time for an education again... what are spacers and what do they do?

spacers sit in between the alloy and the hub, come in various sizes - basically just push the alloy further out from the hub, makes the arches seem more "filled"

you need to understand offsets and things though before you start messing with the spacers, do a search on here and there are many threads explaining it

There LOADS of pics on here of Mk4s running RS6's. (Probably would have been quicker to search than to ask ) They are on special here by the look of it.

Its decided... I MUST have them!

Been offered some wheels from a mate – and with the lack of camera phone – he cant show me them.

I can go down to MK and have a look – but id rather try and see them in mint (on car) condition.

He said they are 5 spoke Audi alloys – now how many different types of 5 spoke Audi wheels are there?

Could they potentially be RS6’s?
