Does anyone know whether there is anywhere in the UK / Europe that you can send you old cable to upgrade to the HEX +CAN version, or can this only be done by sending it back to America.

    Cheers

    Stuart.

It is best handled by filling out an upgrade order in the Ross-Tech store and then sending the unit directly back to us.  We only take back genuine Ross-Tech interfaces.  If you bought directly from Ross-Tech or one of our authorized distributors, then you qualify for the upgrade program.  If you bought from any other source, you do not qualify.

cheers Bruce. My brother got vag.com with the car he bought. he has changed over the ownership of the license, so I'm guessing it should be OK to send it back for upgrading??

When you say he has changed over the license - do you mean that he paid Ross-Tech the license fee to the have interface and software registered to his name?  If so, then yes, he can upgrade using what I said in my previous post.  If not, he has no standing with Ross-Tech and the upgrade program is not available to him.

Also, as said in my previous post, the return of the interface for credit is only for interfaces made by Ross-Tech and distributed by Ross-Tech or one of our listed distributors.  All other interfaces are not eligible.

Should the interface we are talking about be a third party interface, and if your brother has registered by paying the license fee, then he may do what is known as an Outright upgrade which credits him for the license that was purchased.

I believe all of this is clearly explained in the Upgrade section of our web store.
