AGU came out at the beginning and was 150bhp but wasn't DBW or had VVT and only had a K03 turbo (therefore getting remapped gives you 190-200bhp tops)

then around 2002 they brought out the AUM and AUQ.

these had DBW and VVT. both have the K03S turbo meaning remapped to 220-240bhp.

AUM - 150bhp  has 5 speed gear box
AUQ - 180bhp  has 6 speed gearbox, 312mm front brakes, 256mm rear vented brakes.

but the AGU has the larger ported head or something and *stronger* internals apparently.

a lot of AGUs get a k03s and TIP and remap it to 225bhp. rather than limiting to 200bhp.

    HTH

yeah agu and arz engines have stronger internals (20mm wrist pins instead of the 19mm on aum and auq engines) you can get about 30-40 bhp more power without internal mods to the aum and auq engines

    Just the AGU's not ARZ.....

AGU's can get the same power by adding the k03s probably more with the right injectors...

They are. I've just replaced the bottom end on my AGU for an AUM (With forged internals etc), and the two were identical. The ports for the valves were the exact same size too. I think the part people get confused is the fact the inlet manifold has larger ports, not the head.

I have a TT bottom and AGU head with inlet and outlet.... Was trying to understand VDUBBEN.   AGU came with forged internals where as AUM ARZ and AUQ didnt.  The latter AUQ and AUM came with VVT which gives no more power but probably better efficiency probably better MPG..  ARZ came with no VVT and no Bigger port Head either...
