I had to get a new clutch fitted as mine well past it's sell by date.Any way i went to mr.clutch (never again) And they had told me i needed a new clutch which i new and new dmf at a cost of £1,100 inc vat So ran.So i heard about getting a smf and uprated clutch on here a through times,As i will be going down the remap road quite soon.I rang mike a VW SPEED very helpful chap Cant thank him enough,Sorted me out a deal with memeber discount for there clutch and smf got it the next day and got my friend who works at vw dartford to fit it.I must say it's brilliant there is a little bit of vibration in 1st and 2nd so minimal but i have notice a the car pulls alot better and sooner very please with it i must say,

I was quoted £970 ex vat for a new clutch and dmf from vw.

 Thats why i changed the dual mass  flywheel to a single mass so i won't ever have to change it just the clutch from now on,I think they do a tdi versoin smf on vw speed have a look i love it a defo performance gain as the smf weighs 6lb lighter

I got the ECS stage 1 clutch with the lightened flywheel. It revvs much more freely now.

Had to laugh at that. I took a car there once and they left some rags under the bonnet near my exhaust. When I came home, the car actually caught fire! Luckily I smelt the burning and managed to pull over, pop the hood and remove the rags before the whole car went up.

After I recovered from the shock, I went back to them and they denied it was their fault. The manager there was most rude, and even after writing to their head office, they said it was just my word against theirs so tough!

Now I use a local VW specialist for any jobs I cant do myself.

I wasn't even impressed with there customer services very rude i have to say,They wanted to charge me £700 for a fly wheel that was a replica part and probley refurbed at that i wouldn't advise any1 to go there ever.
