Give the old girl a treat on Saturday (car I mean) took it to have the inside valletted - of course in hammered down but it was inside so OK. Went to pick it up and it was standing outside with the engine running with the heaters on full. Inside resembled the rain forest of the amazon - streaming! As the seats were still wet I asked how I was supposed to drive it home and I was told the keep the cold air on full directed to the floor. Well it didn't help that I got soaked myself walking down to pick it up so when I got in it was even worse so phoned the missus to get her car out and I got mine in under the carport and left it overnight with the windows open. Used the missus car to go to the golf club yesterday so car still with windows open stayed under the port. As the afternoon was a bit brighter I parked the car (windows open) outside the house and it was getting to the point it was nearly dry inside - we were sitting watching the Olympics and the missus said "look at this weather again - it was lashing down - Surprise Noooooo! picked up the key and dashed out trying unlock the car - wouldn't unlock! First thought that the rain had damaged the lock or something - tried and tried no luck. Then I realised I had the Audi keyEmbarrassed ran back in and got the right key - by the time I got the windows shut the car was swimming - again. chamiosed the inside down as best I could but the seats and carpets were sodden - wetter than saturday - guess who had a wet a**e this morningSad

Feel for you mate, Bad service is a pet hate of mineSad!!

After having your seats cleaned the car should always be returned to you dry, If you sit on them whilst they are wet any dirt that hasnt been extracted from the base of the seat will rise to the top leaving a stain. The more fluid that is extracted after cleaning the better the job imho.

Oh........All that humidity in the cabin will do the electrics no good whatsoever, Stick the heating on hot and leave about an inch of the drivers and passenger windows open, that should do the trick Smile

That'll keep happening until you've got it completely bone dry. What I had to do is have the engine on after a drive, heater vents facing the seats, the rear seat cushions pulled up and out to maximise surface area, and I had the fans running full heat and full blast for a couple of hours. My area isn't safe so I had to charge up my laptop and sit in there during this, was very uncomfortable, I hope you can avoid sitting inside lol. Obviously the seat you r sitting on will not dry very well seeing as ur in the way, so u will have to change seats every 20mins or so. Crack the windows open about HALF an inch, rear windows only. It will work, you just have to do it once and for all.

Getting the foam too wet can cause problems, and it could even start to break up. Sad

I would try to vacuumn up as much as the water as possible, and this will also help to bring up the water from deep in the foam and fabric. You may need to wipe the seats over with a damp microfibre cloth afterwards. If you have aircon, put that on with the air at the hottest setting to get rid of the moisture. Do this with the windows slightly open.

Using a dehumidifier might dry it out - cable in through slightly opened window?  Could borrow or hire one.

I'd remove the seats and bring them into the house for a week or so. (only takes 30 mins)

As said above, they'll never dry properly in this weather and you could end up with rot problems.

Send the valet company a bill for a hire car.

It was probably the work experience kid at the valet place that decided to use the pressure washer on the seats. Sad
