    Evening guys

I just got my ED30 back from a full rebuld of the front drivers wing following a nasty accident. had it back 4 days and some scroats have stolen the rear, side and front skirts and ED30 badge off the back. Why is it that you work hard for things in life and some no hoper, scum chav thinks he can have what he likes. Please keep your eyes open for these parts and if asked to buy them, or fit them give the idiot an earful. Diamond black and nice and neatly unscrewed.

Quote from VW is £2,500 to put right. Does anybody know of a good independant VW body shop in Leeds/ Huddersfield/ Wakefield etc.

All for everyone having a good looking vdub but not at the expense of hardworking ordinary blokes like me.

I hope that who ever took the parts feels chuffed with themselves. whatever happened to respect for each other.

Keep an eye on E-Bay mate - loads of suspicious stuff like that can turn up on there...

It's a harsh thing to have to go through - presumably, that's another insurance claim.  I bet the Police have treated your theft as more important than speeding motorists too, right?  Angry

My Anni had the same treatment a few years ago, they came back a few nights later for the wheels, £1900 from VW bodyshop in West mids to put right plus increased insurance for next few years for claiming.

Gutted to hear about your misfortune.  I grew up around Huddersfield and left 10 years ago - never used to be like it is now!  Fear for your life on nights out and some of the gang related fighting i've seen is unbelievable!!  I only ever park in the Kingsgate now.

As for where to take your pride and joy, only place I would trust is Impact Repair Centre on Birds Royd Lane, Brighouse (opposite train station).  Quality is second to none and they are all total VW nuts!!  If you need re-assuring, how about the fact that they are the only official supplier and fitter of ABT kits in UK.

You won't be disappointed if you go there!

This is crazy. I hope it all works out for you and they get whats coming to them. I agree with novaload, they would have been stolen to order and performed by someone who knows exactly what they are doing, there isnt really anything you can do when someone like that decides they want it too.

Comments and support really welcolme. In the end paid for it myself and actually got a decent deal out of VW in Huddersfield. Once I told them it was not an insurance job I saved £700 albeit I have to live with a 2 inch scratch and some scuffed plastic around the number plate.

VW have reckon they will turn it around in a week.

Still waiting for the guy who hit me last month to accept liability.

    This is a nightmare.

I won an Ed30 black rear bumper selling on ebay. about 2 months ago now. Was a car that was accident damaged apparently, I'm sure it was okay because the seller has an excellent rating, but if there was anyway to trace the part number off your car I could check the bumper I have. Bit of a long shot, when did it get pinched?

Sorry to hear about the kitt... Hate poeple who think they have the right to theive from hard working people...

But mate, Rivet the front and rear skirts on...

My Front reiger one got nicked (after i just put it on after smashing it on a speed bump) and i though they'd come back for the rear....

So i drilled a few holes, used a rivet gun and rivveted it on!

They came back and undid the screws and they couldnt get it off and then attracted the attention of a neighbour who chased after them...

Definitly worth doing for all you guys with bodykits on....
