Just got off the phone to Citygate VW Chalfont, they have their first Scirocco in! They got it about an hour ago, its being prepared so should be ready to be seen and driven on saturday or sunday. Its a black DSG with leather, and they said they might sell it as they have had so much interest.

If anyone lives locally to amersham, chalfont etc, get down there tomorrow! ill be there first as soon as i can! 

 Just spoke to my dealer he has a Black DSG coming on Tuesday.

On another subject I spotted a transporter full of them this morning on the M6 heading north near junction 15. There was 4 Red, 3 White, and a Silver. Unfortunately I was heading south so was not able to get a good look at them.

My dealer got two in today - a rising blue manual with leather and parking sensors and a silver DSG with leather.

The salesman said that they will not be in the show room until the first of September but I could view them in the compound…

Wow you will not be disappointed - the car looks bloody gorgeous!

What really struck me is how pronounced or 'pointy' (for want of a better word) the front is. It looks purposeful and mean.  I was concerned that I might not like the back of the car but photos just don't do it justice - it looks so much better in the metal. 

Also rising blue really complements the black trim in my opinion.

I suspect some people will think the suspension is too high as there is a rather large gap between the tyres and wheel arches.

 that looks amazing! see what you mean about the suspension but hopefully its just the transit blocks. Did you get any interior pics? Its not any different to a LHD car but it would be nice to see some RHD interiors!

Macclesfield get theirs this week, they've only sold one of their allocation of 3 too.. so there's a few to snap up if anyone's after one? They're having a big launch with loads of old 'Roccos in the showroom too.

I'm not 100% about that giant trapezoidal rear plate cut out, but the rest of it looks stunning.

Great colour, looks ok from the front but I'm not keen on the rear at all.

 A totally boring point but has anyone found out if mud flaps are available for the Scirocco.  I have ordered a set however the dealer did say they may not be available at launch.  Flaps would set off the car nicely and make it look that little bit lower....

I must say, it looked amazing in the flesh, as good as i hoped. I wish i could have gone for leather though. Glad I went for Rising blue too. They wouldnt let me drive it unfortunately, they said no one could before the official release date (although when i rang my actual dealer they said i could drive theirs next week when they get it in!)

 It's got rubber pedals.

 i know, its a shame, im not sure why they have rubber ones when all the other picutures have metal

 Southampton VW (the one in Shirley) has a black one on the forecourt.  I have to say I wasn't bowled over by it in that colour.  I've ordered a white one so here's hoping the lighter colour will work better.

I also think that the wheels look a bit small, this one had the delivery blocks removed but there was still a considerable gap between the wheels and the arches.

I'm sure the MK5 GTI/R32 pedals will be a direct fit but it's a shame to have to do a mod like that on a "sports" model.

The one I sat in at Wolfsburg had stainless steel pedals.

 How easy is it to fit metals pedals to the Scirocco, does anyone know?
