     Hi all,

    Had my avic-F900BT fitted for about a month now and am about to remove it! I have had numerous problems, the main one that bugs me is the slow startup time(45s), ipod locking up, mapping issues, and touch screen problems(to sensitive).  I had a old Pioneer Avic-HD1BT which i sold and thought i was changing to a superior product.  How wrong I was!!!

    I've not got one, but I was thinking of it...

    You could try updating the firmware. I think most worryingly it's supposed to fix the following problem

    "This firmware upgrade addresses an issue which may occur under exceptional circumstances on the AVIC-F900BT & AVIC-F700BT only. The issue involves music being played back from the SD or USB sources switching suddenly to maximum volume."

    http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/support/support/upgrade/AVIC_F900BT_F700BT.html

    Be interested to know how you get on... the comments I've heard are along the lines of "Niceish product, but buggy and released too early"

     Thanks for that but mine came with the firmware update on it(checked software version on unit).  If it is supposed to fix maximum volume thing then I think not.  My unit has done this once but give it time!!

    My thoughts entirely about unit, nice product but released to early.

    Cheers Mate!

    Cheers for the update, a shame, because I think that the Pioneer units are amongst the best looking 3rd party units.

    I've looked at similar stuff from Kenwood, Alpine etc and they are incredibly ugly with awful graphics. So saving my pennies for a RNS 510 at the moment I think :);
