Been on here a while and had the car for about a 1 1/2 yrs and havent posted much about it so thought would do a mini build thread to cover most of the stuff i've done.....

As with all our cars, they are never complete so i always have things I want to do....

Anyway, heres how I bought It.... Awful rear lights!!!....

I was happy with the car, really clean and had a leather recaro interior with heated fronts and 17" santa monica alloys.

I opted for this 5 door model as all the 3 doors I had seen didnt have leather or decent wheels....

So the first thing to be changed were the lights..... Some nice Hella RCCR's did the job....

I left the car for a while as funds were short after buying the car but decided there were a few things I could on the cheap...

i fitted some smoked side repeaters to lose the crytal look and blend them into the blue a bit more.....

Then as my wipers were a bit knackered I decided to upgrade these and went for aero wipers all round....

i then added a GTi front grille badge, plate surrounds and german style plates. Also removed the GOLF rear badge and left the GTi one. Just to pretty the look up really....

i was still on the hunt for cheap and good looking mods so decided to Delock my doors (security reasons too)....

I also decided to get the red paint out and do the calipers as they were looking a bit tatty......

At this point i was fed up with the rear wiper as it wasnt quite fitting right, so when i was doing a sharan badge mod one day i decided to take it off altogether, much cleaner look and the new badge looked spot on....

By this time I was bored of the standard stereo setup so decided I wanted to sort out my audio a bit.

I started off with a new headunit. An audiovox dvd flip out job.....

I also wanted to have a discreet sounding and looking subwoofer install and got my mate at "Volume car audio" to sort me out with a custom box built into the rear wing and I put the amp under the carpet.....

This would allow me to have a boot space as well Big Smile

I also decided to do something random and fit a 230V plug, mainly for show but was handy when was camping!!

Some general pics of the car at around this point.....

After spending some time on the install I felt it was time to get rid of some of the awful looking interior!!

    The leather obviously stayed....

And I decided to get some Audi TT pedals, an R-Line gear knob and I got rid of the wood by replacing it with standard black parts and some aluminium vinyl to mix things up a bit.....

I also had some tinting spray so decided to get rid of the nasty looking red when inside the car from the door puddle lights.....

The car also got treated to some colour coded engine covers at this point....

It was now time for the rest of the boot install to be done as I was never happy with the amp quality where it was stored.....

I placed a false bottom in my boot floor to give a flat base to work on and something to screw into....

    Fabric colour was chosen

The amp (Audison SRX3) was covered with another false floor, with a cutout and trimmed in vw look carpet. There is no perspex or anything, just a hole!!!!

i was going to then upgrade my component speakers but decided i needed suspension sorting, being short of cash i went for 35mm shocks and springs form Koni which will do for now.....

It looked lower but still not low enough, will need coilovers one day!!

I then had a little scrape on the front and decided was a perfect opportunity to do something, so fitted an R32 bumper to the front, which changed it so much.....

It was now time to get rid of those battered and tired wheels!! i ran them for the winter and decided it was time for a new look. I always wanted a set of BBs lm's and realised that there were similar wheels, then by chance one day I noticed a thread on a forum for a set of 19" Rial Daytona's at a good price and couldnt let them go!!!

You can see the difference these wheels made!!

Shortly after this I added a Cupra R splitter to the front to try to make it look a bit lower, it helped loads.....

After this, I decided i needed to sort out performance a bit, so It got an Amd remap to over 200bhp, a milltek v6 style exhaust (with colour coded valance to accommodate) a forge 007p recirc DV and an amd cold air intake.....

I think thats just about it... all my major stuff i think..... for now!!!

i have a few things going in at the moment, boost gauge and blue door pins.

    And have lots planned too............

Hey mate, i live over at Park Farm near Furley Park school. Yeah a meet sounds good, i'm holidaying it for the next 2 weeks mind so can't do anything soon. I've bin thinking about attending a show in the near future, if not next summer for the experience but its always such a mission up north to any decent shows. Prept does look good mind so maybe. Have you been to many shows?

Oh and another thing, do you have vag-com or know of anyone who has? Big Smile

    Cheers, Jake

Well as winter is coming I decided to make a splash and dirt gaurd for my CAI but so that it still gets a good supply of cold air.

My air temp sensor sits right next to my intake filter so I know the air intake temp all the time too Wink

So I got a rally style mudflap and got to work.

The ride is ok but have to avoid the potholes!!

They can be really bad but if you dont mond firmness then its ok, probably just like running 18's low on coilies....

Unfortunately the wheels have to come off in a month or so for the winter and the santas will have to go back on Crying

Front bumper is completely split and is finished!!

But I have plans and will be back!!

Had a closer look at bumper this morning and because of the dark colour and where the damage is, I may be able to make it fairly un-noticeable, at least until I sort something else out Wink
