Hi there, should I be concerned.  My 05 (55) DSG went in for its first MOT at the weekend to an independent garage.

It passed with flying colours however the technician did mention that there was a slight oil leak from the gear box/ transmission, does anyone have any experience of similar?

I have booked the car into the local stealership to get it checked whilst there is a smidgen of warranty left.

    Anyone got any advice?

Yes had this on my (GTI DSG 2005) after only 10,000 miles of ownership,it turned out to be an internal seal in the DSG unit, but this took several attempts to obtain a replacement seal from the main dealers, owing to each time the seal was delivered it arrived upside down in the box,as this was a very thin seal it was damaged once removed from the box, they had to postion the box with the seal in three boxes trying to prevent the seal from moving. And finally on the third attempt it arrived the correct way up. Once the dealers obtained the seal the job was soon done. And i was back on the road, and no more oil on the driveway. Good Luck

Thankfully no oil on driveway at all, just a sweat on the casing, still sound a pain to fix, at least it should get done under warranty. As the fault was notified to them during the warranty period.

    Many thanks for your response.
