I have managed to get a hold of a set of RS007's (19"), and i have ordered 35mm lowering springs to go on the standard shocks until i get money sorted for a right set of coillys. The questions i need assistance with are:

    1. The alloys are 19" x 8.5J (I think) and et 35 - I put the alloys on without the tyres to see how they looked, and the front wheel is scrubbing on the standard shock - i dread to think how much will rub when i add tyres - anyone recomment a spacer size i would need to buy in order for it not too rub?

    2. Tyres - Should i be putting on 225/35/19 or 235/35/19 ?

If anyone could help it would be great !

    Cheers

I'm surprised they're rubbing. 8.5j et35 is pretty standard fair. i'm about to fit some myself in fact, but only in 18".

as for tyres, 225 should do the job. very slight stretch to them, may not be noticeable depending on the tyre choice.

I used to run 225/35/19 on a set of 19*8.5, if I changed the tyre I would have gone 215/35 to be fair, as squeezing an 8.5" under the front arches isnt easy unless they're rolled, so a slightly stretched tyre helps!

I had to run 3mm spacers to clear my coilover strut, but when they went on with the original strut they where fine, exact same wheel spec too so its strange yours need spacers! There was only a few mm gap though, but the two will never touch as long as there's a few mm.

225/35 x 19 is closer to the correct size, comparing rolling radius with original, speedo error to consider.!!!

Have a look in here will give you all the info you require: -

thanks for all the replies, i have ordered 3mm spacers too see how i get on, and i think the rubbing thats been occuring is actually the tyre on the wheel arches, not on the strut as previously mentioned - oops.. The gap is about 1-2 mm , but better be safe than sorry :) Anyway, thanks guys, very much appreciated - I'll post some pics once the spacers are on - I just love the look of these wheels :D

If its rubbing on the arch then spacers will only make it worse bud as you'll bring the wheel out more. I had exactly the same problem on my fronts when I slammed her. Only way around it is to roll the inner arch lip.
