Hi guys, just got my car back from the bodyshop today, & fitted an r-line rear bumper, had a 4mo style one previous, so I made a custom exhaust from pipewerx, so I can take my tailpipes off & put tdi style pipes on. Drove the car today, Ive just noticed, the small plastic piece has slightly warped, gutted aint the word, is there anything I can do, can I heat it back to normal or something?

 use a heat gun, but becareful not to bubble the paint

Thats the thing Jake, its a black plastic piece, theres no paint on it, isn't that a worse thing? 

 no makes it easier, becasue if you do damage it you can mat black it,

if your over our way call past and i can have a look at it for ya

 Gutting.... You got any pics?  Is it the one without the cut out then.  Is it just the black plastic that is melted or the bumper itself...  Dont quote me on this but I though you could get that black plastic piece seperatley..

I have a single cut out one and the tailpipe come off the clamp and touch the side and melted it a bit cant really notice it but I know its there I am just in the process of getting the end chanmged for something smaller..

 if its just the black bit can;t you get a new one its not like the whole of the bumper is ruined.

But i know how annoyed you must be as there not cheap bumpers

Right, are you guys saying I can get another one?? I really didnt know that, thought it only comes complete.

@Pat: tell me about it mate, I nearly wanted to break down in tears lol when I couldnt make it for vw festival, so gutted I couldnt make it, will be at E38 though no matter what, will you be there?

@blackmagic20vt: Its a non exhaust cutout one, but I guess the tailpipes werent measured properly at all, they almost face the plastic piece.

@M15_DST: Yeah very annoyed, especially when I've just had a full repaint, & you can say that again, they bloody cost a fortune, & I must say, your car looks wicked with one.

 i'm pretty sure you can't get the plastic bit separate, sure, it has a different part number printed on it to the bumper but i'm sure Shaq told me that its sold with the bumper.

i thought about another cutout one as i was tempted to make the cutout fit a 4mo exhaust than an anni.

Unfortunately the black piece isnt available seperately, gutted for you mate.  If it was me i would take it to jake and see what he can do.

Yeah will try heating by a bodyshop or something.
