Hi all I've been busy of late, getting the parts ordered correctly and after some hassle with the paint shop who found out they didn't want to paint the parts for the quoted price.

Finally found a good sprayer who did a cracking job and the past 2 weeks I have enjoyed fitting the parts to the car on my day off.

Shame that I've not take any before shots( excuse the quality of the pics as my camera has decided to give up, the pics were shot on my phone).

The parts that had been changed/added are as follows:

    Front grilles

lower lip spoiler and center lip spoiler

    side skirts

rear lower valance(lower half left unpainted)

And in the ecu department the ST-3 remaps, economy and fast road.

Car only has 650 miles on it since collection, but I couldn't wait and installed the economy map first!

First impression are good but need more time to evaluate.

Here are some pics of my car, comments welcome.

    Gtlee.

Looks nice, especially with those wheels.  What GT was it before the transformation?

Is it lowered Lee? One thing that i would really have to think about if i found a set of 18' Charlestons would be the arch gap, yours looks fine.. tell me it's running standard suspension because i wouldn't wanted to lower my GT Sport, it's firm enough as it is, i like the ride don't be me wrong, but i couldn't cope with it any harder, not on west yorkshire's crappy roads anyway..

    Yes

     Aidenuk,

Yes m8 I thank you for your help regarding the skirts, the part numbers for the inner wheel arches too it seems the standard ones would leave a gap and those who have offered advice aslo, it was from this forum I got the inspirations from.Yes

At the moment I'm running stock suspension the ride isn't harsh at all but I would prefer the ride height a tad lower than it is, maybe a new project on the to-do list?Hmm

One thing I don't like at the mo is the steering wheel, it seems to large, anyone done a Gti S/wheel swap and how hard is the process?

    Gtlee.

I think the ride height looks spot on mate, did you get the 18's when you bought the car? I keep having a cheeky look on ebay and the forum classfied section, but they seem to be fetching a fair amount of £££ for them.. I can't afford them yet but once i can it's between CH's and Charlestons and i reckon it could be the Charlestons because i always go for the OEM look. Not really had any problems with the steering wheel Lee, the GTI one is a fair bit chunkier isn't it?

Why don't you get yourself a rear boot spoiler? I purchased a Vortex one and had that fitted, it's nice and subtle but enough to notice it's there as my mate pointed out the other day when my motor was parked up outside his house. Yes

The wheels were factory ordered with the car but I'd really wanted the monzas that are standard on the Gtis but not available as an option on the gt sport.

The gti wheel defo feels alot better as I had a drive in a Gti its more compact and smaller.

     AidenUK

Its pretty straight forward, simply a direct swap from original to the gti look.

I can get the part numbers if you wish to do this mod yourself m8.

Hi Aiden - did you fit the spoiler yourself in the end?

I've just bought another golf so was thinking of getting another spoiler (and fitting it this time) Smile

Is it just a case of swapping grilles? If you could PM with the part numbers and some sort of instructions on what i need to do to complete the mod?

    Thanks Lee.
