    hi guys

     

    ive been lurking around the forum for the last few days and decided that the switch to the MFSW was gonna be my first mod!

    I have brought all of the nexessary parts but have a problem with removing the black connector in step 5....i have tried everything ...pulling/pushing/messing with the little red clip but I just ant get it off!! any ideas where im going wrong? i dont have a steeringwheel on my car at the moment and would like to get it sorted ASAP lol

     There is a hidden clip to be pushed, have a look at the link attached it should help.

     thanks guys :) i did figure it out  eventually! everything is on there now just having a problem with the steering wheel, it seem to have forgot about the fact that i have power steering lol! im going to hook it up to a vag com this week and see if i can resolve it....cheers 4 the help guys

     Like I said you will need to resolve the power steering issue via VAG COM, the controller are shipped with no info on them.

    Is the Wheel symbol showing? if so that is because the battery was disconnected. Just drive it slowly for about 100-200 metres and it should go off. Another method is doing a full lock to the left then a full lock to the right while stationary.

    i tried disconnecting the battery and driving that didnt resolve the issue!

    Got the car hooked up to the VAGCOM last night and had some problems!

    The controller doesnt seem 2 save any of the settings that were being entered to try and resolve the G85 - Steering Angle Sensor problem...which i think is causing my power steering to not work!

    below is an extract from the vagcom...
