Hi i have a standard 1.8 t agu with a ko3. i have had a remap on it today. before remap the dyno showed me having 164bhp and only 140 lbs torque. after it shows 188bhp and 171lbs torque. im sure the torque should be higher. ??? Also car was running at 6psi before and is now at 10 psi...... the guy said to me i prob have a boost leak.

i have also noticed a loud whistling noise from the car when i accelerate. do i have a boost leak and if so how do i go about finding it??? i only ask as i wanna go k03s but want this sorted 1st. cheers ppl.

The whistleling noise you now here is the turbo now that it has that extra psi. The BHP figure isn't bad and you have to remember that the bhp figure will vary from car to car. There are several things you can check yourself like the turbo pipes as already suggested, but also check MAF, spark plugs as these two items can seriously affect the performance. Are you running a standard diverter valve? The standard items are known for splitting even from new and thus causing boost leak. If thats the case get a baileys (my fav) or a forge as most people on here go for. Oh easy way to test DV valve is to take it off and see if you can blow through it, if you can, then BIN it. If after checking all this then it's probably worth getting someone to run VAGCOM for you. Oh and if all is ok then it just may be that the map on your car isn't very good! And maybe you should take the car back to the company and get it done again at their cost. Must check everything else first for yourself to make sure everything is as it should be.

yes hun you can run vagcom on an agu.

i have a forge recerc dv. to be honest, its not that loud but aparantly its better for your turbo.

i also have a blow off dv in the house thats slightly louder but not much.

Check the vag-com section.  Loads of guys on here have it.  I'm in Scotland so can't help but there will be somebody closer to you on here.

i cant help you the vagcom, as with the figures that have been produced, the ecu needs a couple of weeks to get use to the remap and fuelling etc, but if you were to take it back to get it rolling road tested again, then you should see a change in figures.

i was really wary about getting it fitted as a lot people complained about atmospheric valves being no good for the engine, so did my research and couldn't find any people who had complained about it - the only niggles people had was that it wasn't loud enough. Don't know much myself but i do know that the pipes that fit to it, fit in the opposite way to the standard bosch one.

I have heard that if you want it louder you will have to get a cold side relocation kit.

All in all im am more than pleased with it, the little whooosh always puts a smile on my face! and as mentioned before, it's been about nine months since i had it fitted....

cheers hun. ive enquired about the cold side relocation kit, and the company that are doing my remap, sez that they dont make that much of a difference to your dv or the performance, its just a good way of getting money out of you...

the dv that i have on makes a slight swoosh but sounds nice when your sat in the car :)

the 007 is louder than the standard one, but not really noticable outside of the car.

this is the relocation kit on a car.

go to http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk they sell everything on there, and damian is really really canny
