I just bought a pair of cobra clubmans off ebay for £92 to give me a bit more support round corners, as im sliding all over the place at the moment! When I started looking for subframes I had a bit of a shock though, the cheapest pair I can find is £140 without delivery!! To me it seems a bit pointless paying nearly twice as much for the subframes than the seats so my question is there any way of fitting them for cheaper? I found some universal subframes on ebay for half that price but I have no idea if they would fit onto the seats properly even though they're made for the golf. I dont want a bodge job because I dont want to go through the windscreen if I crash along with my seat, but there's no way I can afford the cobra subframes.

    Any help will be appreciated!

I would sell your cobra's and get some recaro cloth seats, saves messing around and for what you are spending you can easily get some 2nd hand recaros for that price.  (I paid just under £140 for a full set of cloth recaros on ebay)
