Or maybe you were looking for info on where and what etiquette to follow.

Best thing to do is look at the forms list and find the most appropriate place to post. The technical sections have a sub section devoted to most topics:

    http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/

Try and drill down to the best sub section, i.e wheels & tyres, engine, tuning and post your new thread there. Don't post multiple threads on the same subject and keep your thread on topic. If you have an unrelated question, start a new thread in the relevant section.

Here's an extract of the site rules:

    Posting Guidelines.
In addition to the above General guidelines a set of posting guidelines has also been created.

Please post topics in the correct forum. It takes a lot of time and effort to run this board and it will make the uk-mkivs team's life a hell of a lot easier. It means better navigation of the forums for everyone, and stops the place looking cluttered.

Please try to practise general netiquette. What does this mean? Well not writing your posts or their subjects ALL IN CAPITALS. This is not only annoying, but it makes you look like you've got some kind of anger management problem. Also practice good English, and refrain from using ‘txt’ speak. You're using a keyboard to type with, not a mobile phone key pad.

A swear word filter is enabled on the forum; this will block various bad words from posts. However please do not try and get around this by using exclamation marks or numbers to represent various letters, in other words 'Cr34t1ve Sp311ing'. This also includes using such text in the subject lines of posts. We believe that swearing leads to a 'playground' type of atmosphere, and reflects badly on the image of site. Please help us to keep the forums clean and acceptable to readers of all ages.

If it is seen it will be removed. Repeated abuse will lead to a temporary, or, total, ban. You have been warned.

Please don't just register for an account and not bother to post. It will only cause the admin team more headaches come user account review. Also do not register more than one account per user. If this is found then both user accounts will be suspended pending investigation.

Hope that helps and welcome to the forum. Yes
