Here is my build thread for my 2003 Golf IV GTi 1.8T.

Car when new, 1 year old. Totally standard.

First mods were front & rear V6 valances & Miltek cat-back exhaust.

Also added aero rear wiper, anniversary badges, K&N panel filter, AMD Re-Map.

Next was a set of S3/TT 18" wheels & Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics.

Interior mods include Rhapsody CD/Radio & 6CD Changer, TT pedals, changing all wood trims to standard black (doors only so far) & Bora Sport gearknob.

Other mods include;

Philips Blue Vision Bulbs, Stubby Aerial, N75 'J' Valve, Alarm beep & Auto locking enabled.

Parts to fit include;

R32 front & rear brake setup, S3 front upper & lower strut braces, TT short shifter, TT jack pads, De-lock kit, Eibach 30mm spring/damper kit.

Wish list;

Forge DV, Other black interior trims, W8 Interior light, DSG intake kit, Bora vents, Eibach anti-roll bars, Forge pipe/hose kit, Forge inter-cooler, Cruise control, Sat-Nav, Hella Celis headlights.

Anni valences will look wicked on there, Mate.  RS4 rims are also some of the best in the VAG range.  Looking good.

Thanks Wigster, cant wait to get the valances on. I just need to get it lowered then, got the springs just need to save up a bit for the dampers, as i bought the valances from VW Speed first, as they were doing a special offer on them. Hopefully will get suspension sorted very soon!

Yea, they got them on the MK1 TTs. They come in 2 parts (inner & outer) & fit in place of the rubber bungs underneath the car. Do a google image search, you will see what i mean. They are useful if you have side skirts so you dont damage the skirts when lifting the car on a ramp or jack.

 I have a question about your head unit,are they an upgrade?

 Patch - The headunit i bought when i worked for VW. It was on their stock for ages as i think it was a cancelled order. So i bought it on the cheap, but as far as i could see they werent a factory upgrade or on the accessory catalogue either. The Rhapsody unit was listed on ETKA, so possibly might be used in certain vehicles, maybe overseas?

Its a single CD/Radio unit & at the time i wasnt sure if it would work with my 6-CD changer, but i pluged it in & it works fine. The only thing I have noticed is that if you have a CD in the headunit, you have to eject it before you can select any CDs from the 6-CD changer, but it will select the single CD if you go from the 6-CD to the headunit.

The Blue Visions are good, they give out a white light, with a very slight blue tint to them. Ive tried 'Ring' bulbs - both the Xenon Plus, Ice Blue & Sportz Blue & the Blue Visions are a lot better than all the Ring bulbs. The Sportz Blues were terrible, especially in wet weather! Others on here say the Osram bulbs are also very good too.

 I'll be ordering some of those black door handles tomorrow,sooooooooo much better than that crappy wood effect,think i'll get the ash tray aswell

Yea, thats the conclusion I came to!!!

I did have the door ones replaced when the car was in warranty, but they have both started to show signs of cracking again!

Ive so far done the doors & am going to do the centre console area too.

Why they decided to put wood effect trim in GTis I will never know!

Not sure yet, as i need to get my anni ones painted first, but might get rid of them as soon as i got them on. Will let you know when i swap them over.

 Update; Had these turn up this week! Just need to get them fitted now! Will post some pictures when they are on!

A Good Clean - Clay Barred/Polished & Waxed!

Eibach Shocks & Springs Next.

Thanks, No anni splitter, i was going to do that, but had a change of plan. Too many anni looking Golfs, so decided to keep my V6 valances on at the moment.
