Well i thought its about time i started a build thread as ive had the car a year and half and ive done quite a bit to my golf and got loads planned for this year.

The car was completly standerd when i got it which was just what i was after.

This is what it was like the day i got it home.

The plan when i bought the car was just to put a set of alloys on and leave it like that...............

But as you all know that doesnt happen.

As soon as i put a deposit on the golf i went into work and bought some 18 inch TSW holstons.

Looking back now i wish i waited till i actually had the car first Indifferent

Some days i liked them on the car and other days i bloody hated them.

Anyway this is what it was like with the wheels on.

Straight after i bought the wheels i ordered some chrome forge covers for under the bonnet.

Im happy with them as there quite subtle and not over the top.

Next on my list was some black VW badges and a rabbit badge

Then after searching the internet i stumbled across this site and thats when i decided i wanted to do more to the car.

After looking at various posts and browsing the members rides section i decided to go for a full anniversary kit and a miltek anni exhaust.

But for some reason when i went to pick the car up from the bodyshop i wernt happy with the anni kit, proberly because of the wheels.

Next on the list was to lower the car so i bought the H&R cup kit but when fitted to the car it didnt lower it one bit.

I didnt bother taking pics as there wernt any difference.

They were soon taken off and i bought a set of coilovers - Weitec hicon gt which made the car look much better.

After a lot of thinking i finally decided to get rid of the anni valences and go for an R32 front bumper and an r-line rear bumper.

Well i was really happy when i went to the bodyshop this time.

I also added a sharran rear badge which i colour coded to the car.

Then  i started to look for new wheels, which was a nightmare as there just so many out there.

I kept changing my mind more or less everyday.

In the end i opted to go for some 8.5 x 19 inch LMs and they turned up yesterday and i think they totally transform the car.

Just got to put my 15mm spacers back on the rear and drop the front a little bit bit more.

Well thats how the car looks today.

Plenty more mods to be put into place inside and out before august aswell.

    Comments welcome, good or bad.

    Thanks for looking

    Cheers for the comments guys.

The holstons just looked a bit bland.

I was going to get them polished but the centre caps would have looked stuiped as they are plastic so couldnt do anything with them

    Looking good Ceri.

About time you did yourself a build up thread. Loving the new wheels and i think they really suit the car.

You need some aero wipers next or remove the back one completely.

Hi Mate, that looks really clean - nice to see.  Smile   The engine bay appears super clean, too.

Glad ya ditched the TSW rims - IMO they really spoiled the car before - the LM's look like they were made for it.  Yes

car looks sweet now good you got rid of them horrible wheels personally I dont think they suit the dubs only some exceptional ones

Get rid of that horrible standard spoiler totally messes your nicely oem modded car get an r32 spoiler and your car it 199% spot on from the outside

Wheels would look top notch polished trust me so what if the centres are plastic If I was you and money was not an issue defo thats where my moneyt would got then you car would be one real nice example as it allready is as soon as that spoiler gets sorted - thanks

     nice!

how does it handle with the 19's? i'm on the tip of the edge on deciding whether to buy a set of 19" LM's! its all down to the handling/ride quality!

looks just like mine bar the grille and wheels! i want to look like yours!!! you thought about making a custom grille?

great car BTW, you got it remapped?

Jammy B  - Not to sure what it handles like yet mate, havnt really been out in it since the wheels went on.

As for the ride quality i go to say it is better than my 18s, which i know a lot of people wont beleive.

Ive got a bonrath grill in my house, but i wont get it fitted untill everything is in place.

I havnt got it remapped but i did have the revo free trial when i first had the car and it was soooo much quicker.
