well i thought its time to do a thread for my car!

i bought it oct 08, pretty much std.

apart from new rs4 18'', anni front splitter and bumper vents. lowered on coilovers.

in the last couple of months ive added a green cotton filter, n75h valve, stage 1 remap, 007p.

 cheers not sure how low it is?, it was really low when i got it!

didnt even have collars on rear coilovers..

since then ive fitted the collars set them at the lowest they will go and matched the fronts. it sits nice now, and handles alot better!

 Ahhh, Western Super Donkey as we call it in work! That is one smart motor, always admire in your sig. I think the wheels suit the Golf more than the RS$. Are they reps or do they bolt straight on like the TT's do?

 Thought i would update my build thread..

done quite a few things and slowly getting her how i want!

fitted a yarrow rear strut brace 2day, and also some net optic bits.

couple of months ago fitted a alpine IDA-X100 which is a mint piece of kit.

got loads more planned as my car is coming off the road for a full engine rebuild pretty soon, and maybe K03s upgrade!

 thought i would add sum engine bay pics..

 ok time for a update, ive had a problem with smoking on idle for a while, and also pinking. maybe the 2 are linked? the engine has done 140k so i thought it was time for a rebuild so here goes.

list of things to be replaced and to do.

timing belt kit.

water pump.

headset/bolts

rebuild head/skim.

stainless exhaust manifold.

piston rings.

big end shells/bolts.

saikou michi catch can.

delete carbon canistor.

all comments welcome!!

 well picked up head and pistons etc today.. so on with the rebuild!

should get the head on and timed all up 2moz, and maybe even running?

shame about exhaust manifold, its completely different, i was told it would fit a golf???? not sure what it will fit?

gotto spray cam cover aswell..!

 ok update, been really busy with new job, but finally finished rebuild!

 alot of work went in there mate, hope u will be pleased with the results

 yer m8 well pleased, saving up for gt28rs now...lol

 quick update.. added BMC CDA!

unsure what to do next engine wise?

k03s, k04 or save for gt28rs????

im bored of power now (200bhp approx)

its quick, but im after more!..lol

ideally want 250-350 bhp and a k03s isnt going to do this? one option could be k03s hybrid??

 Got sum more goodies this weekend Milltek and 4mo rear valance..

try and fit sumtime this week.. so pics to follow!

wasnt seized m8, was burning oil on tick over and pinking on boost!

turns out valve stem seals were worn and had massive build up of carbon on tops of piston which highered compression and lead to the pinking..

all sweet now and flys!! goes so much better!

 well had a busy weekend got exhaust fitted at local garage. took them 2.5hrs!! the milltek system wasnt the same size as my decat pipe so they had to weld in a larger bore pipe.. but all done! loving it, has made loads of difference all round!

also fitted a new pair of mintex front discs, mine were flipped..lol

going to book it in for rolling road next few weeks, just to see what powers it at?  heres a few pics!!

Personally i would save hard and buy a GT28 RS kit rather than faff around with crap OEM gear that just cracks at the sight of heat

was working on my mates KO3S/KO4 VRS the other day and the waste gate housing was screwed and cracked all over the shop, that came from turbo dynamics

really pleased with it all.. and Dent reform yep proberly will go gt28rs way. gotto be done!..lol
