Everyone has one so why not me!

    PIC WHORE HERE I COME

A quick trip to the bank on saturday morning and i end up with this!! WOW! £6k

A 2hr trip down to Hove a bit of haggling and i drove away with my pride and joy! a 2001 V6 4motion in great condition

This is the car as about standard as i can find lol. just with tints 5% on the back and 30% on the front PROGRESS!!!

So a few hours after handing over my wad of cash and driving home this is how the situation was. installation of the headunit and other bits and pieces took me well into the night lol.

    The finished article!

The weekend after i finished running the 0gauge cable and installed the CAI what a lovely purring it gives that v6

A quick phonecall to awesome and they sorted me out with a 6 speed quickshift and sideshift. It got bolted on 5 mins after it came thru the post. do i hang about? HELL NO!

I saw some LED strips on ebay and i thought they would make excellent DLRL's im not saying i was the first but i must of been one of!

After a few nightime ventures in the country roads i decided that candlelights where no good so put in some angel eye projector lenses and 6k HID's to light up my life lol

I decided that the engine bay was looking pretty glum so i pulled out the body filler some halfrauds tins and a couple days later...

looks good in the engine bay

I then spent a few quid on KONI FSD's some eibach pro springs some H&R spacers and Lenso AD1's wrapped in Falken 452's

Pic is of the wheels and spacers i cant belive i never took pics of all the suspention bits!!!! i was just so eager to fit it all!!

So i took the car to AMD to get the suspension fitted and ended up with a full milltek exhaust system MANIFOLDS AND ALL!!! i also threw in a remap for good measure!

heres a crappy pic of the 100 cell milltek Sports cats

    R32 style backbox

On the rollers and the results where 221hp and 217 lb.ft torque. im quite happy with that

    Photobucket

After all that was done i got the itch again and found a nice guy selling a full R32 interior... i couldnt resist!!

    AAALLLL out again lol!

and in goes those sexy Konigs

I also bought a R32 handbreak and leather cover and the R32 gearknob and gaiter from VW Speed but i havent got pics Sad

Next step was reinforcing the ICE with some hefty dynomat in the doors, i also done the inner metal skin on both sides. sounds proper tight now! no rattles

    Some Vibe blackair 6 components

Some meaty subs and 2 Vibe amps sorted out the boot nicely! pushing 139.9db now!!!

Tidied up the engine bay with some the S3 covers and fitted the S3 strut brace too

I ended up packing up my alternator pulling so much current out of it. so i went to my trusty vw tech to fit me a spanking brand new one!

While he was at it i thought why not upgrade all the stock alternator and ground wires to 4gauge.. a quick trip to caraudiosecurity in hayes and here is the result including an optima redtop

I get very little dimmin now and boy can i really drain that red top in no time at all now lol!

Hope you lot enjoyed my build thread lol... i think its been long overdue and sandly missing alot of pics that i should have took.

Anyways look forward to that this summer im planning on a full Vibe install with custom door builds with 8inch subs and some space 3d component sets.

Some new rims and some Rline bumpers are in the pipeline...

Looking good mate Yes  One thing I don't like (my own personal opinion of course) is the wheels.  I think they look a little too much over the top for my liking.

Interesting to see you managed to fit the S3 brace, did you get any issues with fitment as I was led to believe that it would fit properly on V6 engines due to the throttle body catching?

Looks like a lot of work has gone into it.

     Great Build. !!

I do like what you've done with the engine covers. Did the S3 side covers and brace fit straight on?

4Motion, 5dr Black, Recaro Leather, Xenons, Sunroof, Winter Pack. DSP Sound system. Blue LED interior light. Led Side Lights. R32 Alloys, MFD, heated seats, dipping mirror.

Damn a lot of work has gone into your car mate! Nice build up what profile tyre are you running on those wheels?

I think I saw those LED's on your motor before I saw them on an Audi lol

S3 brace easy or hard to fit?

Got more lows, need arches rolled

Oh my god. Thats such a good build!

I just do't have that kinda money, the 6k just sat there on the table got me grabbing at the screen Surprise.

As an estimate though, if i were to do anything like this if i ever got a 4motion, excluding purchase price how much would it set me back?

    Thanks.

Long time no see mate i hope u can make it down to the west end dubz meet... u gota reprazent the east side lol..

the tyres are 215/35/18 on a 8inch so a mini stretch going on there lol.

    VR6Rich

The brace was ok to fit and it doesnt faul on anything but the top right hand corner of the engine cover sadly. so now its comming thru with yellow filler primer lol

i got mine from VW speed

    R32Pete

pete you nosey bugger lol... what the hell did they have my boot open for anyways lol... nevermind... dude once u get urself sorted out PM me and ill come sort your doors out no problem mate. although i recon with the amount of Fing noise ur cars farting out the back end u wont be hearing bugger all inside lol! ur gona have to dynomat the whole bloody car so much that its gona be just as fast as when it was bog standard lol..!!!! gota hear ur monster decat mate

    dubya_vee

Dude what the hell do you think i have a girlfriend for... shes got arms to carry shopping!! hehe nah kidding i just pull up the bench at the back and put the shopping on the metal... the girlfriend always asks why do you pull up the seats like that... i said.. woman... you damage those seats your gona make me new ones!!! LOL! she got the idea lol

    shammy

its not so hard mate.. you just gota get yourself  Elsawin or similar and read it back to back like i have lol. it really isnt as bad as you think. i mean a scew only goes in one way u cant screw it up (no pun intended lol). the first time i did it i rebuilt as much as i could on the pavement putting each screw into its relevant hole and using tape to keep it in the hole. at least that way u never end up with one screw left over lol. start with the doors and then do the underpannels of the dashboard... work up your confidence and in no time ull have all your seats out and all the pannels lol... its like OOOH OOOHHH what else can i take out!!!... whats this thing? oh a screw... gimme gimme gimme.... lol

    BigNorm

Yeah quite a few plans mate... i wanna drop it on some 19 old style RS4s. I might even take it down the turbo route but no real big power. 300whp and at least 350 lb/ft is what im aiming for. im talking to the legendary nutcase dent reform for that one lol. i also want some Rline bumpers and a possible change of colour. but thats WAY down the line lol i might opt for buying a craped out golf stripping it down to nothing and getting the shell etc painted up properly then slowly transfere everything over bit by bit... now that would make an interesting build thread lol!

    ittleblackflash

Cheers mate the one on the washer bottle is fairly straight forward. the battery one usualy comes with a bracket surrounding the battery i belive but since ive upgraded the battery to an optima redtop it doesnt fit so sold it on and botched an easy way for it to fit. if i drive hard it comes loose tho... im waiting for the day i try to change gear and i cant cos its jammed itself in there lol...

Wish i could afford it right now mate... bank manager put me across his knee the other day lol and im saving up for those wheels cos mine are sadly a bit mashed afer a lil meeting with black ice, xmas and a roundabout... here was the result of that. take note that the wheel on the other side is 100% straight.

It needed new hub, bearing, tie rod, abs sensor, knuckle, boot... 4 wheel alignment just unfortunate it happend at the most expensive time of the year. got it fixed at A.V.I,T in slough nice bunch of guys down there, they might be at the West end Dubz meet has quite a nice looking mk1 cab
