For those of us that don't know, the Brean Beach meet is becoming our most popular meet with members from all over the country turning up!

Basically, we drive onto the beach and park up.  Then we get the BBQ going (BBQ/gazebo/utensils provided) and have a good old chat.  In previous years, everyone has brought food and we've shared it all out - there's always plenty!

Location: Brean Beach is near TA8 2RR - here  (Note: The postcode is slightly off, the entrance to the beach is about 200-300m further up the road on the left).

For those of you coming from Bristol/North - there will be a convoy from Gordano Services (BS20 7XG, top corner of car park) - Leaving promptly at 1.15pm.

Wow HANG ABOUT!., lol im pretty sure I was the one that didn't nearly die... these old Audi drivers have slow reactions and cant take corners properly (but before you say it,,, yes yes good recovery)

Someone do me a quick favour, look in your service book and tell me the intervals for toothed belt replacement on a TDI (130pd) will you.  I'm sure it was 60k/4yrs on a Golf and my book says 80k/no time.  Dropping car at the dealers Thur, so will see what they have to say about it anyway - must say had excellent service when I went in to book today, cup of tea, chat, joke - got refused a test drive of a Q7 V12 (Wonder why not - 6.0 V12 TDI with 500bhp and 1000nm torque - about £100k!)

But am getting a free MOT, so can't complain!

You mean the cam belt?

If so, it's 60k on the golf/bora. Me and Andy were looking when we were at the meet on Sunday.

If you mean the auxillary belt which does the alternator/power steering/air con etc, I don't know if that one is normally done as part of a service unless it's needed is it?

Yes it's what the manuals call the cam belt Paul, the aux belt is different.  Why is it 80k on mine then?
