Again perfect feedback being given, you guys were brilliant, cant fault your service in anyway.

Remapped my 1.9 TDI 90BHP, ended up being a tricky job seeing the chip couldnt be recoded via the VAGCOM port, they took the ECU out, removed the old chip and put a brand new re-mapped one on!

Will be coming back to you guys very soon when I get my new injectors and I need another map to get some nice power gains!

Heres a graph from a rolling road to show you the gain there map did!

    Well what can I say!

Ben has just left after remapping my car. A really nice bloke and he told me what time he would arrive, kept in contact all morning. Talked me threw what he was going to do and explained the process. Took about 2hrs in total, he came to my work so I was in and out but totally relaxed with leaving my car with him. We talked cars and he VAG-COM checked my car, no faults so very happy.

I've just taken it out for a quick run, WOW! Party!!! It has totally transformed the way the car drives. Such a smooth map, but so strong, pulls all the way up the rev range. If your thinking about getting your car mapped with these guys, go for it. A reliable, friendly service is what you'll get, oh plus a massive smile on your face when you next take your car out Automobile

Great jobs guys, speak soon. Now this decat pipe... Idea

    Hello m8,

    Thanks for your kind comments!!Beer

At the end of the day I took that guys comments with a pintch of salt (not at the time, I took the hook line and sinke.lol)  I know we offer a good product, service and good aftercare and all our feedback should all reflect this.

For us to keep our running costs and remap prices low we rely on internet based feedback within the forums. I started this thread the day our uk-mkivs.net sponsorship went live, just so there is not a mass of r-tech customer feebback threads poppingeverywhere.  I am sure over the nBig Smileext few weeks this thread will soon get filled up with commets from our customers....I hope..

Had my car mapped by Nick today, as part of the May special offer.

The process wasn't as straight forward as Nick had hoped, (this car is cursed - I'm sure!)  as the car wouldn't accept the map initially. The ECU came out, and it transpired that the code on the ECU, and the software that was on it originally did not match. The ECU went back in, and by some stroke of luck, it restarted. The map was loaded through the OBD port without a hitch, Nick then cleaned the throttle body out, which turned out to be one of the most gunged up one he had seen! It looked like it had come out of a diesel, rather than a Petrol motor!

With this back on, and another VAGCOM scan of the car carried out, I took it for a test drive. The power delivery was instantly noticable, and very smooth and progressive. The mid range power was fantastic, powerful without being harsh. I half expected the clutch to slip, although it held very well.

I brought the car back to R-Tech, who then ran a final check, before letting the car go.

I would recommend R-Tech's services to anyone who was looking to gain extra power from their car. I will certainly be going back for an FM Intercooler and other bits

     Hello Chris!

Thanks for your patients today mate, I aint good at multi tasking, especially when a ecu dont want to flash right and a Mondeo wants to burn holes in the dyno..lol ( I had another play with the mondeo and got rid of that factory flat spot, plus gave him some more power..lol, he also left me with a huge grin on his face.

Glad your happy m8 and thank you for the feedback, any problems or questions you know where we are.

(ps, Ben said we have an old air box knocking around still if you want it? )

Had mine done at the GTi Spring festival.  The car is totally transformed.  So much smoother to drive and now has the real kick it should have left the factory with plus also is more economical.

Great service and offer from Nick and team.

    Highly recommended.

I had my car mapped by R-Tech 6 months ago now, what a difference it pulls like a train and puts a smile on your face every time you put your foot downAutomobile

Had a few boost problems along the way, but with Nicks help its all sorted. He will go out of his way to help you if you have any problems!!!

R-Techs maps are strong and smooth and great value for money and their aftercare service is second to none Cool

Anyone thinking about getting a R-Tech remap, just do it you won’t regret it. Any diesel owners worried about their clutch, I've done 20k with a remap now and still going strong (touches wood)

Thanks for everything Nick, you're a star Beer

Well i finally did it.... unleashed the GTI from my AGU thanks to the guys at R-Tech.

Me and my mate took the 2 hour drive down to leicester yesterday for stage 1 mapping. Mine a lazy AGU lump and my mate in his torquey PD130.

We got to the workshop and had a warm welcome from Nick and the team and they got to work on my GTI first.

Diagnostic check done first then the mapping began, literally 20 minutes later it was out for a test drive.

Car came back and was told that the car was shifting well - my turn! Drove out of the workshop and the car just felt normal to start, turned out onto the road and put my foot down - Jesus christ! Turbo kicked in about 3000rpm and pulled like a train! into second and same again, couldn't believe how transformed the car felt. The boost holds all the way up into the red line with a nice smooth, strong pickup.

absolutely chuffed with the results and Nick and the guys at R-tech are a top bunch. We must have stopped an hour after the map just chatting, really friendly people and i would advise anyone to use them.

Just need a few other parts and then going back for stage 2 power!!

When leaving my mate was in front of me in his freshly mapped tractor, all i can say is i was left in a puff of smoke and hail of stones. He says it pulls like a train on steroids. 2 very satisfied customers!

Went out in the beast this morning and almost forgot how fast the car now is, absolutely love driving it now, it truly is a GTI now.

Oh and the best part..... it was only £150 Big Smile

Big up to R-Tech, thanks again guys!

    Andy.

Had my TDI 130 remapped by Nick & Ben last November after previously having a Custom Code map on it.

They spent a good hour checking over the car before loading their map on. Difference between the two maps is night and day. Here's the last RR graph i have

Customer service is A1 - Nick is always on the end of the phone with advice and even just for a general chat; the blokes passion for cars is second to none

I'll be heading up to their workshop towards the end of the summer for some tweaking and maybe some other goodies - haven't decided yet lol

Evening everyone. I have recently had my 2000 1.8T Golf GTI re-mapped by R-Tech.

Firstly what a bargain £190 inc Vat, I had prices from Regal and they wanted way over £300!!

The car really moves now, I would go as far to say it would have given my old Saab Aero(250) a good run for its money.

    Love it, thanks guy.

Just a quickie to let people know how pleased i am with the service i recieved from R-Tech the other day.

I had my AGU remapped and im chuffed with the performance compared to before. They found that my throttle body was knackered when they remapped it, and i was very pleased when they swapped it for me, at no extra cost, which i thought was excellent service.

I also had a decat downpipe. Part and fitment. I already had a crappy bodge job of an ebay decat fitted by a rubbish local garage. When the guys at r-tech seen it they couldnt believe how the previous garage had mangled my exhaust. They managed to sort it out for me, after grafting on it for a good while, also at no extra cost.

I would just like to say Thank you, to Nick and Ben for sorting me out. And i would advise everybody to go to them with any problems with their golf. They are genuine guys, and i believe thats hard to find when it comes to car mechanics. Its nice to be able to trust the people who are working on your car. They are there to provide a good service and that is what they do. They are also very experienced at working on Golfs and know an awful lot.

I dnt want to take my car anywhere else for anything now ive seen the service they provide.

    Thanks again R-Tech

Just thought that I would my add review from the end of January:

At the start of this week I fitted a secondhand K03s and Forge TIP to my 1999 AGU Golf.

The car already had a full Milltek system, 3" Milltek downpipe and 200 cell sports cat, K&N panel filter and Revo remap.

I was doubtful as to what gains I would get from fitting a K03s and whether it would be worth the time and money as the car had already been rolling roaded and produced just over 200bhp! I spoke to Nick at R-Tech and he said that I would achieve a noticeable difference and it was a worthwhile conversion.

So I bought a K03s and Forge TIP from a member on here for a good price. Thanks MK4MooseGTI Smile

When I fitted the turbo I discovered that the exhaust manifold had cracked and was blowing so I had to buy another one. Thanks to Jody at Midland VW for sorting this out for me.

Nick and Ben from R-Tech came to my house yesterday afternoon and remapped the car.

They started off by scanning the car for faults with VAG-COM and driving the car as it was. Nick commented on how well it went for a stage one mapped car. Then they removed the ECU and removed the chip and read the original file from it. It turns out the Revo map was very aggressive and ran a lot of ignition advance and about as much boost as the little K03 could push. No wonder it was making 200bhp Surprise The chap I bought it from was a friend of the guys at Revo so he obviously had had the map tweaked a little from the standard stage one map!

Nick then reflashed the ECU with his K03s/AGU map. I asked for the map to push the K03s as hard as possible as I wanted a noticeable difference. Nick was happy to do this with the proviso that I only run Super Unleaded. This was no problem as I only ever run my car on Shell V-Power which is probably a good job considering how aggressive the Revo remap was!

Once the ECU was flashed we were ready to go. What a disappointment! The car felt flat, the boost could be heard to be surging at around 3000-4000 rpm and the promised 5000rpm to the redline rush was non existent. Nick suggested that we try a different diverter valve and clean the throttle body. To be honest at this point I couldn't see how this would make any difference.

Back to my house and Nick removed the throttle body and cleaned it whilst Ben fitted the new Forge 007p diverter. The throttle body was filthy, caked with oil and muck, Embarrassed Once it was clean and realigned with VAG-COM were ready to go again. I was still dubious that either of these changes would really make a difference. How wrong was I!!! The car was transformed, smooth coming on to boost, holding on to boost all the way to the red line and so much faster. I was in love Wink Nick said that he would put the Revo map back on so that I could compare the two maps and if I prefered the Revo map then he would leave it on and not charge me anything! I didn't need to do this I was more than happy to pay for the R-Tech map as it was superior in everyway. Smoother, faster, stronger, just plain better!

I have been tuning/modding/wasting money on cars since I passed my driving test 15 years ago so I've seen and heard it all. R-Tech are one of the few companies that I have come across who genuinely offer an excellent product and superb customer service. A lot of companies would do well to learn from them. The fact that I've bothered to sit down and type this post shows how pleased I am. Normally I am far too lazy to write this much Wink

If you want a remap go to them. I shall be recommending them to everyone.

I have had a few from problems with the car since. None of which have been anything to do with the remap. A brand new faulty plug resulted in a bent conrod Angry and the car being off the road for three months until I got round to rebuilding the engine. I have recently rebuilt the engine and put the car back on the road and having not driven it for a few months I had forgotten how quick and smooth it is and stand by all my original comments 100%. I have fallen back in love again In Love

Nick has always been happy to help to offer support and advice whilst I was finding the cause of my dead engine. The aftersales support from R-Tech is second to none. I honestly don't think I have dealt with a company who have such good aftersales service. I am pleased to see that they are doing so well. With their quality of service and excellent value for money I can't see how they will be anything other than a success Smile
