Just wondered if anyone has heard of or seen a mk4 with the standard montreal II's with spacers on? this my be a silly question but i really like the standard wheels on my 1.8t just wish they had a wider stance and was thinking of putting some spacers on, has anyone got any ideas? might be a silly idea but would rather no know, plus would love to see a photo of a mk4 with this done to help make my mind up.

    thanks in advance

im in the process of putting some 15mm spacers each side of my Montreal II's, got the spacers now just need to source bolts.  Will take some before & after pictures.

Patch; have I read it right, your using standard bolts on the rear even with 20mm spacers?

Hi Andy, thinking of doing the same now, you have 15mm on all 4 wheels and have you noticed anything with the handling and also did you your original locking nuts,

    Garry

just 15's on the back, nothing on the front. Have only just fitted them and not been out since (also still getting used to the AP's so tbh the difference will have to be pretty noticeable for me to say they improve handling).  Went with eight M14x1.5 45mm bolts from PRI Racing and then a couple of longer locking bolts sourced from a mate.

Cheers, i'm yet to decide, havent had chance to stand back and admire but it cant look any worse.  Could defiantly fit 20's in there, I just got 15's cos they were cheap.

Got the spacers off a forum member locally for £30 then the bolts cost £1.55/ea from PRI Racing with £6.00 p&p.
