Brean! Stick out tongue My brother and I used to do a great drive over the bridge into wales, upto monmouth then down through some great roads in a forest (can't remember the name) then to chepstow and back over the bridge. It is a bit of a trek but there is a good pub along the way Wink

I suppose it depends on how far people want to go....

    Depends really....

Anyway, a drive sounds good, by then I should've got rid of my rubbing issues over EVERY bump and ANY right hand turn taken at faster than 20mph Angry

The big building on the left is a pub Edd. Me and my brother stopped there for 15mins. There was a great Corsa parked outside that had raided the halfords parts bin, I have a video somewhere.......We could do it, would be a mighty trek though, especially for those of us east and south of Bristol.

How about Lynmouth? Great driving roads across Exmoor, coastal views, not many speed cameras, plenty of pubs/chip shops/ice cream shops when you get there.

If you look at Edd's map you can see the route I suggested. Go over the bridge and follow the M4, then go up the A449, then on the A40 to monmouth at which point you follow the red road down to Chepstow, a great road and many pubs along the way. Then back over the on the other bridge where we can all make our merry way back home.

I'm up for this, I should have my poor baby back by then too... the Merc is not as involved a drive as my solid Audi!

Depending on the distance, some of us may want to pair up?  I know the point is a car meet, but at 105p (and climbing) a litre for some of us, a 300mile round trip will be £30 without the food etc.  Just a suggestion.  Oh, and I'm pretty much free whenever.

Is anybody here actually going to GTI International?  Coz if not then it's not a problem.

I'm sorry, I can't organise it this month, my life is so busy at the moment that I'm worried I won't be able to sort it all out. Tongue Tied  This car thing has come at just the wrong time too!  The best I can do is come along I'm afraid!

If no ones actually going to take there car why don't we do a local drive in Wiltshire,Bristol or Somerset etc seems pointless going to far if there's only 3 cars full to the gunnells with peeps.
