Noticed that I am getting a fair bit of tyre squeal off the rear offside (I think) tyre. I dont drive aggresively so I dont think its over exuberance on my part.  Checked the tyre pressuers of all tyres and they are correct.

Any ideas on what else I should check?

The tyres are Pirelli P600 and they have done about 25000 miles.

If the tyres are squealing, then you're going too fast for proper traction.  This will either be down to driving style or poor tyres.

I used Pirelli on my previous car (Escort GTi - P6000 tyres) and found them completely hopeless for grip generally, but even worse in the wet or on very hot days.  Perhaps just put these tyres on the front to wear them out, then replace with something better?  Confused

    OooppssEmbarrassed

Cant be 25000, must be 15000 miles and the tyres are P6000.

Think the gist of the responses are they may need replacing.  Which model of Dunlop or Bridgestone is most suitable? Any other suggestions?

Tyres often squeal when they've nearly had it, mine are doing the same thing just now (2.5mm tread left). It's quite embarrasing going round corners at a normal safe pace but sounding like youre in an old fashioned car chase.
