    Hi guys

Does anyone have any pictures of Santa Monica alloys that have been refurbished to anthracite/ gunmetal grey colour? Im wanting to refurb some Santa Monica's i've just picked up. I'd like to see how they would look on my black MK4 Golf. I need some visual inspiration! It would be great if you guys could post some pictures of some santa monica's in the finish that i want/ or a finish you think would best suit a black MK4 Golf! It would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

Hey mate. Lol Its cool man i don't see your post to be hi-jacking its a legit question on topic Smile

I gave the The Wheel Specialist a call and i got quoted around £260 for a smoked chrome finish and was told that would give a look similar to the diamond cut finish on santa monica's. I asked how much it would be if i wanted to get the alloys refurbed in anthracite and got quoted £248.

    Hmmm......I'm as of yet undecided.

New to this so don't know if it'll work, profile pic should be my pearlescent black V6 4Mo! Anyone know how much/where to buy one wheel? I smashed one of mine to bits on a pothole! Trying to find you a pic of one of the wheels after re-furb.....

    There you go:

Thats one genuine Santa Monica Alloy. Looks in good nick. Sometimes hard to get only 1 or 2. You normally have to buy the whole set of these wheels if they are being sold.

And about potholes - i fookin hate them! Sorry about your smashed alloy mate. I thought i smashed mine the other day after bouncing off a pothole which didn't sound good. Man i gotta tell I was sh1ttin it. Stopped the car to check and thankfully the alloys were alrite. Im extra vigilant now of them damn fookers!

Just to let everyone know i've put the gunmetal refurb plan on hold - struggling with finances a bit. To be honest the alloys don't look all that bad and some of the corrosion/ scratches are not all that noticeable. Its only when you look close you see some of the damage. Still, it doesn't stop me from admiring the gunmetal inserts and the diamond cut finish after giving the wheels a good wash then waxing them/ applying sealant every couple of weeks after which they look mint!
