Just had some decent tyres put on my car today as the ones I bought it with were only mid range all-over-the-place-in-the-wet ones.

So... Ive got a quick Q regarding the tyre pressure. The sticker inside the drivers door shut says unladen the front should be 1.9 bar and the rear 2.2 bar.

Fully laden the front should be 2.2 and the rear should be 2.9.

Something along those lines anyway.... figures may not be exact I'm just going from memory.

Now being a petrol 3 series BMW it likes to drink fuel..... so when I did the tyre pressure after having new tyres on I've inflated them to the fully laden tyre pressures. Thinking it will help boost fuel economy a bit, plus they looked a bit under inflated on the unladen pressures.

So.... are there going to be any bad effects of having the tyres inflated to fully laden pressures when its only really me in the car most of the time, such as quicker wear / poor handling in the wet? Or will they be okay?
