Head-unit fits fine, just put the cage in for the cd player and the the autoleads wiring harness adaptor. I have a Sony CD Player so would recommend that, however, theres a lot out there to buy however some Sony units arnt the best for ipod compatability!

I too am looking for a new head unit but as I already have in-dash 6 cd player I just want a tuner.

Any idea where I can get this?

Get an MP3 capable HU and burn files to a CD. I upgraded the HU on my previous car to an MP3/CD one and forgot I had a 6 disc changer in the boot.

I was always told to go for brands such as Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine, Sony. I would go for something like this http://url2it.com/rkg. If your not using CDs then USB is the best. You store all your music on it and its always with you in the car. If you want to use your iPod then get a HU that controls it, so that you can change song whilest driving. In my opinion aux is a waste of time because you cannot really change song/artist whilst driving.

That will only fit if you sell your mk.4 and buy a mk.5.
