hi a friend of mine has a mk5 and on of her lights on the dash apears to be on, its a yellow one with a car on it and a zig zag under, Whats does this mean?

not 100% but would say its the engine managment light. normally shows theres a fault code or something up with the car

 its neither the Esp is off (just press the esp button in front of the gear stick to turn it back on) or theres a fault in the Esp system and it needs putting on diagnostics to find out whats triggered it

 If it dosent turn back on when you press the ESP button your in trouble.

This is becomming quite a common problem and costs £1500 to fix outside of warranty. VW are refusing to do a recall on this and a number of us have complained to watchdog..
