We've had our up's and our down's but it's now time to move on. Today I travelled 200+ miles to pick up this fella - I'm in love already...

It's a Formel E Golf C 1.1. 4 speed with a manual choke and I freakin' love it! I was grinning like a cheshire cat on the way home. It has a massive 50bhp too.

I can't afford to run my V6 any longer and I didn't want to completely disappear from the VAG scene, so, 'Oreo' was purchased.

It's in amazing condition for a 26 year old car and I'll definitely be bringing it along to the meets so you all can have a nosey.

Unfortunately for 'a few' I won't be disappearing from the forum as I've made some great friends - so ner!

That car is probably faster than our 1.4s.  Think power to weight.

One good thing is you can now legally have black pressed plates

No plans for the engine - Pete's already tried that one! The 1.1 can be quite pokey through town and that's all I need.

It's already on coilovers but I'm not convinced about them. Other then that it's staying completely standard.

and dont even need to ahve the proper font.

Looks great... will look even better it you get the body machine polished to bring the colour out!

Brings back memories, my first Golf was a mk-1 diesel, same year same colour, and like you I loved it.

 great car, i have a mk1 gti 1983 just spent 7years!! re-building it and its finally on the road and i love it, still keeping the mk4 for winter, but id rather sell a kidney than be without my mk1 ha ha, hope you enjoy your new addition
