Seeing as I’m coming up to 5 years of ownership, I thought I would finally make a thread of some sort for my car. Not really a build thread, more a collection of photos!

Bought my beast of 1.4E completely standard back in Feb 2005 as my first car. It’s come a long way since then and has been a very slow process but it’s getting towards the vision I originally had.

I won’t bore you with pictures of every single stage but this is the overall spec as best I can remember:

Engine:

75 of Wolfsburg’s finest horsepower

Exterior:

Colour coded V6 front splitter

Anniversary rear valance

DIY US spec tail lights

Clear side repeaters

Depo projectors with HIDs

Aero wiper on rear

Colour coded sharan badge

Tinted windows

Black b-pillars

Black grille

Interior:

Grey recaro seats

Bora vents

GTI steering wheel

Armrest

Central locking and alarm (yes, the poverty spec E model didn’t come with either)

Manual windy windows lol

Pretty simple ICE install with a couple of subs

Chassis:

Lowered on Weitec coilovers

5mm front spacers

15mm rear spacers

18” Fake splits lol

That’s most of the stuff I can remember right now so here’s a few pictures

Okay, so I maybe got a bit carried away with the pictures but that’s how the car stands at the moment. Big thanks to all the London boys for the photos…..please feel free to add any pics you have of my car to this thread (cough…..Hamidi….cough lol)

 Love the car mate. Has come along nicely. Can i ask what width your wheels are? Im just trying to figure out what size spacers im going to need for the right stance on some Santa Monicas.

I love it.. and i dont agree with Lobo.. like the black and blue theme.. black roof?? lets vinyl it up.. and the plans you got for the bonnet im liking... bonnet scoops will look sick...!

Finnaly there is a build thread for [Insert Car Name Here]... about time and all bro!!

Nick....I know the wheel's aren't to everyone's (probably anyones lol) taste but I like them

Lobo....thanks mate....the black strips are staying and I plan to spray them eventually.... I like the contrast between the black and blue but appreciate that it would also look good colour coded

Peter...thanks for the comment....my wheels are 8inches wide...The santas are 7.5 I think? Perhaps a 20mm spacer would work nicely, that should bring the wheel more or less flush with the arch I think

Lowell....you know how it is with black rubstrips dude....I think they work really well the idea of colour coding them has never appealed to me

Nick, that looks quite good actually....Not sure about doing the mirrors and the roof but I like the look of the roof....In my head it seemed like black overkill but you've got me thinking now

Oh and the side repeaters are smoked now as the clear ones didn't tie in with anything since I changed the headlights

Faisal, I like the idea of the BuilT thread lol, good point. Gunna work on it when I get some spare time from coursework.

I'm not impressed with the fact that you've only shown recent shots though man, where's the early stuff to show how it started out? Don't bother telling me that you haven't got many pics, that would be complete BS lol!

 Didn't see the point of putting older photos up....I've got hundreds as you know but I don't have time to organise them and the car doesn't look as good anyway lol.....The fact that I take most of my pics on my phone doesn't help either. But now that I've got a thread I'm gonna start using the camera more!
