As I didn't post up a welcome I guess I see it fit that I should say when I am leaving the forum, so here we are... it seems it is for the best, I was looking forward to my first VAG meets having attended many skyline owner club meet and evo meets and enjoyed the atmosphere I felt this was going to be no exception, I really felt golfs had the best potential as a sleeper and after my conversion, I have really just been into VAG not just for the potential but because they are really nice cars to work on and thats the truth - everytime I get a fiesta in the garage for a suspension job I cant help but think how much easier it is on the mk4. I think I will continue my ownership of the golf mk4 but would probably stick to jap owner club meetings and other forums. This is just where my roots are, but rest assured I'll be going out in a VAG range while everyone else can pick their japs.
I leave with a little gift to those who I have helped and inspired with my 4 day conversion job and those who have helped me with styling choices in creating my sleeper, which has since been put through its paces with a eliminator turbo kit. I am sorry I do not have a picture of the car since the GT28RS eliminator upgrade, this is because my phone dies on me everytime I take a call or picture - (you can see where my money goes), (for those who followed my thread I decided it was wise not to go with a stroker kit as there was no way I could afford the running cost or insurance for anything over 320bhp at the age of 20, I have some since pictures of the conversion though:

For anyone who is attempting to do the conversion on their own, I have a little tip, bolt the driveshafts to the gearbox and hub before you put the engine in, that way when you align the engine to be put in you can use the hubs as dead weights to try and align the engine as you guide it in bit by bit. The plastic guard can be removed to allow your driveshafts to clear and be mounted.

This is how I mounted LED's to my rear lights on 5 door golfs with the ultrasonic sensors, simply soldered the 501 LED onto the PCB board.

Also have a video clip of one of the more exotic cars on my street I go out with every friday night amongst the evos, scoobys, and big power civics:
It's my mates 6.2L V12 Murcielago, I enjoyed working on it even if it was only an diagnostic tool on jobby.

Never uploaded a video before, so if it doesn't work here is the link: http://s944.photobucket.com/albums/ad290/theechemist/?action=view¤t=V060210_1637.flv
I really wanted to go on a VAG meet and was hoping to break barriers and bring car enthusiasts from different backgrounds and different cars together having been to evo, skyline mix meetings I was looking forward to bring a few sleeper Golfs into the herd much like the midnight crew in Germany. Till our lives next cross its bye for now.
