If you visit any other car forums you've probably seen these already as they seem to be creating quite a buzz!

The output seems to be very impressive for its price - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnF5mXG9IAQ

Needless to say I've just ordered one from this seller (there are others on eBay but I thought I'd trust the same one from the original post)! - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150410036677

This guy has done a (ridiculously!) in-depth review of the cameras... they're basically made from mobile phone parts which is why they are so cheap! Wink

Well I guess you can use them for whatever purpose you like!

Other car guys seem to tape them to the front bumper, or I was thinking it might be good for filming speedo runs if it was taped onto the steering column.

Yep my arrived after my original post in about a week from Hong Kong!

Haven't had a chance to try it out on the car yet but I did a test to check it records fine, and it does.

Yes you need a Micro SD card... to be honest I'd avoid eBay though as it's littered with fakes. I got a 8GB one from Play for about a tenner. :)

I've got one of these, can't believe the quality it gives for the cost. Easily good enough for track videos or something like that. The files are quite big it produces though, 5mins was around 170mb

Yea they're good aren't they! Where did you mount yours?

Files are quite big but if you import it into iMovie or Windows Movie Maker etc you should be able to reduce them quite considerably.

If only you could somehow rig these to continuously overwrite the same piece of memory in a loop, you would be well covered for evidence in the event of a non-fault accident. At this price you could mount one on each side of your car for full coverage! There'd be no dispute with clarity like that Yes

Can't remember the exact price as all I do is fit them, but I think in the region of about £200? Normally wired to only record when the ignition is switched on but can be easily set to manual record with a £2 rocker switch.
