This number just called me and tried to get me to “update my details with them”. Apparently they run a business listing service and I was on it but they’re “updating” the listings. I said I was happy with the listing as it was thankyou, and then the guy tells me that they don’t have any data listed for me so could I tell them what I did as a business.

After a couple of minutes of discussion about the difference between updating a listing and fishing for information he realised I wasn’t going to tell him anything. Then he buggered off. Saved me telling him to do one anyway.

Anyone else had them?

He said he was from 121 business. Now a quick google of 121 business brings up this site. Link. That doesn't look much like the 121 directory enquiries sort of thing that the name suggests, does it. A google of the phone number brings up a couple of interesting things too, such as other people saying they've been contacted by the same people.
