    Hi

I wanted to swap what the ESP button does, when one starts the car, the esp is usually on, but no light on dash, is there a way of changing that when i start the car the esp is off, and no light on the dash, but when i press the esp button the esp comes on and the light on the dash comes on

i spoke to a vw engineer and he said it was possible, but didnt know himself how to do it,

would this be possible? or am i in fantasy land, as the ride quality is so much better with the esp off

and last time i got stopped, the police noticed the esp light on the dash and didnt like it.

    any help welcome

when the esp light is lit on the cluster that means your esp is off.

esp is on by default and you press the esp button to turn it off which lights up on the cluster to tell you its off.

all i know is there is a small mod to make it so the esp will stay off unless you press the button again. thats regardless of you turning the engine on/off

the light on the dash will be pretty hard to swap around, it will always be lid when esp is off/

what business is it of the police to even to look at any light on your cluster ?

hmm, interesting, but i really wanted to do this without modifying any hardware

just a way to disable traction control upon startup
