Still hankering for more after the recent release of detailed information on the Scirocco? Well you can feast your eyes on these two promotional videos from Volkswagen showing an up close look at the Scirocco, both on the road and a fancy platform overlooking the sea (the latter of which seems reminiscent of a 70's James Bond movie). The videos, which were posted on youtube, show a Scirocco sporting Rising Blue Metallic paint which along with Candy White will probably be one of the most popular

Hot on the heels of the news regarding VW UK removing the Golf GTI Edition 30 from its model line up, comes the announcement that UK Dealers will now be getting the Golf GTI Pirelli edition. Although the timing appears to be a touch rushed this is welcome news to those who would have missed the higher output GTI engine from the UK GTI range. Fitted with the same 230 PS 2.0 T FSI engine from the Edition 30, with options for the 6 speed DSG and existing manual transmissions, the Pirelli branded model

Effective as of April 3rd 2008, the popular selling Golf GTI Edition 30 has been removed from sale in the UK. No longer listed on VW UK's website this a rather abrupt end to an eagerly awaited special edition. This has come at the end of a somewhat bumpy period for the Edition 30, after it was learned from VW Dealers that the model was in fact not a limited edition. Owners complaints, raised on uk-mkvs and other forums, over conflicting information gvien by VW over this problem do seem to have

Volkswagen Germany are now offering the MKV Golf Estate with permanent, 4Motion, all-wheel drive. The 4Motion system is coupled to an economical yet high-torque turbodiesel generating 77 kW. This gives the Golf Estate TDI 4Motion the best possible grip even on an uninterrupted blanket of snow. As a general rule, permanent all-wheel drive improves cornering forces even on a dry carriageway, thus making a positive contribution to active safety and driving pleasure. The Golf Estate TDI 4Motion is equipped

Tuning industry moguls, HGP Turbo are at it again. This time working on shoe horning the Touareg R36 engine into the MK5 Golf chassis. Creating not only the first R36 application to be fitted into the MK5, but also adding two turbos which raise output to a mind blowing 600PS. Performance, of course, is also equally astounding. At a recent AutoBild / Nardo High speed event the R36 equipped Golf MK5 managed to hit 0-62 in just 3.8 seconds, then going on to hit 204 MPH. This has surely to be a record
