After 16 years, the Scirocco has returned to the VW model range. A tradition that H&R is also glad to revive. And so the company from Lennestadt offers several chassis components for the relaunch of the Wolfsburg coupé. The sports spring suspension kit lowers the vehicle by 35 mm, making the Scirocco not only more attractive to look at but also more dynamic in performance – without any noticeable loss of comfort. The spring suspension kit has been designed for use in vehicles with

Hot on the heels of the recent news on the MKVI Golf being unveiled by Volkswagen , it seems the test engineers in the USA have got their hands on what could be a 'test mule' Golf MK6 GTI. Evident from the, albeit heavily disguised styling, we can see larger front air intakes and removal of the fog lamps to increase air flow to the lower engine, gearbox and braking systems. Also evident is use of the now trademark honey comb grill styling, replacing the slightly MK4 esque horizontal grill

Volkswagen is standardising the engine range in the Golf segment. For the models Golf, Golf Plus, Golf Estate and Jetta there are now two TSI versions: a turbocharged 90 kW / 122 hp direct injection petrol engine as well as a 118 kW / 160 hp version of the same engine, but with turbocharger and compressor. Furthermore, the TDI programme will also be extended to include the first common rail engine in Golf models. With the introduction of the high-torque TSI engines two years ago Volkswagen has significantly

Well you can feast your eyes on these two promotional videos from Volkswagen showing an up close look at the Scirocco, both on the road and a fancy platform overlooking the sea (the latter of which seems reminiscent of a 70's James Bond movie). We observe the approach of a Passat estate, it stops, the driver gets out, slams the door shut and, as he walks away from the car, he aims a remote control back at it. That car now proceeds to reverse park itself into the available space, it then independently cuts the engine and activates the door locks. End of performance. In reality, there is nothing at all fantastical about this demonstration. The live performance by Volkswagen can be viewed at this year’s Hanover Fair (21 to 25 April)
