Yeah SMF is the way to go DMF's like to go after a while... although mine has done very well eating more than 460K of abuse...

Removed the engine, subframe and gearbox from my breaker. Bloody knackered now

I have a diesel, couple in fact, smf, doesn't rattle a bit. If you have poly dogmount, it probably will.

No, all 5 speeds, but I don't think they differ. As for the kit, it's umm, probably passat b3/b4 flywheel, press plate from mk3 golf? I don't know for sure, just went to breakers and got parts visually, then put fatter "feathers" in the pressure plate so it would clamp more. I know, I'm sophisticated. Total cost with new sachs clutch disc and release bearing, 150ÔéČ. And I could go rally the shoot out of it, it will not slip. And my left leg is a bit bigger now.

Edit: forgot to say I reused bolts too. Oh and no torque wrench meter thing.
