2001 vw golf 2.3 v5 headgasket and timing chain help,

hi,.driving along and temp went up...car got hot...found out thermostat housing cracked...let car cool down....than tried starting..takes a while and after many cranks ,car starts up..but wont idle well..at the same time water blowing out the coolant dept...radiator tank..so iam sure the head gasket is gone...oil in the sump little milky..very slightly...so has anyone here done a headgasket on a v5 2.3 golf?...would anyone have a repair manual for one please....mainly for timing chain and head removal and fitting...any and all help appreciated...thank you all kindly..:)

sorry to say, but i've never seen a V5 20v manuel. Haynes never made one either..

but its not all bad news.. as the closest to it engine wise is the mk4 golf 2.8 v6 24v bde engine manual.. same layout, but 1 cylinder missing.

there's a copy online somewhere you can download :Y:

thank you..this is a 2001 golf v5...automatic...hope someone on this forum has done a headgasket etc..or even a repair manual..:)
