Headlamp Covers about 25-30 pounds off of ebay (40 pounds i think from dealers)

Hafizur

Do you have a pic of the headlamp covers?  I was thinking about all these tinted lights etc the other night and wondering if anyone had thought about getting the lamp covers and lightly tinting them on the inside surface.  You will then have smoked headlights that are not as obvious as the FK angels or other similar lights which dont I dont really like.  If you run better bulbs or HID's there shoudlnt be any light loss.

there you go, you can see the right and left ones now lol.

Use to have those stick on tints on a previous car (too embarrased to say what) and they do a good job if applied right, dont look stuck on at all.

Blue Tinted Side Mirror Glass about 10 pounds from the dealers

Twin Rear Fog Light wiring 10 pounds (or if you got some wire handy, should be free)

I wanted the blue glass about a year ago, and the dealer quoted me about 60....each!!! - have they gone down now?

Anyone know a guide or got a link to a guide for doing the twin rear fog mod?

R32 style door triggers.

Mask the door trigger surround, buy a 4 pack of pan scourers from asda (the sponge and plastic ones, not, i repeat not, the metal ones) use long horizontal strokes after around 5 minutes of rubbing the door triggers look like brushed aluminuim and not shiny chrome

as Gordon Ramsey would say...... DONE

Cost 14p for scourers and masking tap/electrical tape

Are you saying that the holder/wiring is there on the Bora? I haven't looked.

If you have the 6 speed box then the short shift from Forge www.forgemotorsport.co.uk is a great cheap mod just over 70

I think they are working on one for the 5 speed box as well

what about changing your courtesy lights on the front doors:

Combine that with standard interior and w8 light and would look mint. That is m y plan anyway.

Bulbs for doors came out of my old car but originally cost me like a 5er off ultraleds.co.uk

And also cause a big crack on the bumper when it hits a bump

Those LCR Splitters are too hard

Fool everyone into thinking you have the latest auto headlights by simply turning on your headlights every time you enter a tunnel during the day.

Impress everyone with an expensive hands free car kit by simply shouting at yourself whilst sitting in traffic...

See this from vw vortex: http://forums.vwvort...read?id=2937700

...............

I didn't feel like spending the money to replace these and really didn't feel like taking the door panels off so after I saw a reference in another thread, I thought I would give this a try. It's not perfect but it works for me.

Stuff you'll need:

* Masking tape or painter's tape to protect the plastic surround.
* Heavy duty Scotch-Brite pad. I used half of one cut into small pieces.

*Disclaimer, I'm not responsible for you doing whatever damage you might do*

Pretty much just tape up around the opener as pictured below:

Going in one direction, use a back and forth motion with the Scotch-Brite pad until you get the level that you feel looks good.

The only problem area I had was the back of the opener where it curves. Basically just took my time and used my finger nail against the pad and brushed away. The end result:

A few of the other side:

and driver's door:

Auto windows from the genius known as Kalu. Only 20.

Keep the unlock button pressed - all the windows drop. Sweet as you like for venting the car on a hot day - just waiting for the weather to change...........................He can do miles til empty as well, but my clocks were not the right type.
