Hi guys
Been trying to sort a exhaust blow on my AUM coded Golf for a while now without success.
I originally changed the downpipe gasket off the turbo as could feel it blowing from there but it made no difference.
Next i sent it to a garage to have the manifold gasket done, turbo to manifold gasket and downpipe one again.
The car drove better for about 30miles but the blowing sound was still there but now the car drives worse than before i started changing the gaskets.
I have checked everything is tight and had a few garages check and no one can find a fault but it can be heard.
It is really bad on the cold start as is starting to missfire as well now but is not so bad once up to temp.
So as per the title is it common for manifolds on the 1.8T's to crack as i cannot think of any other idea's and want to get the car running right before i send it in for a re-map.
