Went out last night and didnt come back with my car keys, the golfs parked on my driveway and i know the keys not in my house, have phoned around and not such luck so far, got to wait till tomorrow for a few other replies.

Just wondering what ive got to do if i can't get the key back, new locks? immobiliser? ignition?

Any help or info would be great as really am stumped on this one,

Thanks in advance gary

I don't know if this would work or not. But i lost my only key to my bike once, i know it didn't have an immobiliser but the locksmith was able to cut new keys for it with just the ignition for dirt cheap. So i guess you could just get a mobile locksmith if you can't take the ignition out and get him to cut you a new key and then pay the dealers a fortune to code it for you. Just a thought.

Good luck with finding them.

hi mate, dealers charge 120 odd quid for a new key with remote fob cut to your car. all they need to see is the logbook and i suppose you could buy half of the key from them with the cut blade on it and get the rest of the fob from ebay or somthing. thats about ÂŁ50 plus vat and you could get a member off here to program it for u

Two options available here, get the key cut and then either have VW code it or a member here code it for you. I know it may not be the case with you and Im sure you can appreciate that we own these cars and as such are concerned about disclosing any information on the internet to a stranger that may compromise the security of our vehicles.
